8:00 AM: Warm greetings as you are picked up from your Cusco hotel!
8:15 AM: Drop by a local market to gather the elements for your special offering to Pachamama (Mother Earth). Your guide will help you choose traditional items that hold meaning for your journey.
9:00 AM: Ascend to the majestic heights of Sacsayhuaman, the largest archaeological site in South America, reaching a height of 3,600 meters above sea level. Here, you'll be greeted by your local "Arriero" (horseman) who will ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident in the saddle, even those with minimal riding experience.
9:30 AM: Mount your trusty steed and begin your enchanting horseback adventure through the ruins.
Temple of the Moon: Ride into the sacred space where Incas worshiped the mood goddess and couples made offerings to request for a child.
Temple of the Monkey: Unearth the secrets of Kusilluchayoq or monkey temple, particularly the subtle and intricate carvings on an oddly shaped boulder. Upon closer inspection, the carvings seem to be in the form of monkeys.
Temple of the Rainbow: also called Temple of K'uychi. The Incas believed that the sun produced the rainbow. It is located to the North of the Temple of Illapa and opposite the Temple of the Moon, on the eastern side of the interior courtyard of Qoricancha.
