Itinerary
3:00 AM: Hotel Pick-Up
Your adventure with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Cusco. Get ready for a day filled with stunning landscapes and vibrant colors.
3:00 AM - 6:00 AM: Drive to Quesiuno
Scenic drive through the South Valley towards the trailhead in Quesiuno (elevation 14,189 ft). Enjoy the breathtaking views of fields and snowy landscapes.
6:00 AM: Breakfast in Quesiuno
Enjoy a hearty breakfast (included with your booking) upon arrival at Quesiuno to fuel you up for the exciting hike ahead.
6:30 AM - 9:30 AM: The Hike Begins
Hike along the historic Ausangate trail (a significant path for Inca people) as you make your way up towards Rainbow Mountain. Take in the natural beauty of the surroundings and look out for alpacas, llamas, and other wildlife.
9:30 AM: Arrive at Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain
Enjoy the views and take photos of the spectacular Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain. You will have about an hour before heading back down.
10:30 AM - 12:30 PM: Return to Quesiuno
The return trek begins along the same path, allowing you to soak in the same views from a different perspective. The descent takes approximately 2 hours.
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM: Drive to Pitumarca
Drive back to the village of Pitumarca via private transportation.
1:30 PM - 2:30 PM: Lunch
Savor a traditional lunch in Pitumarca (included) that highlights the flavors of the region.
2:30 PM - 5:30 PM: Return trip
Return to Cusco (approximately 3 hours).
